Performances were all good and some very good. kevin bacon as sebastian shaw occasionally came across as goofy for a villain. the film shows its individuality in many respects. the third act is the best part of the film for me.Correct Wrong
I sound cagey in this respect but i do want to keep this review spoiler free. just be aware of this as there is special effort made for this film to show its individuality in many respects. the performances were all good and some very good, kevin bacon as sebastian shaw occasionally came across as goofy for a villain but showed his worth when he needed to be threatening especially once the third act came along.

In fact the whole cast do well, with kevin bacon heading up the villain list as sebastian shaw, planning world war iii via the cuban missile crisis to ensure mutant dominance. if this is a cliché so be it, but actually the film rather playfully echoes the 60s bond movies, and the war room is straight out of dr. strangelove. january jones' emma frost is almost like a fem-bot from austin powers!
