Poe Dameron : Along With Harrison Ford, Who Plays Han Solo?

They encounter a resistance fighter by the name of poe dameron (oscar isaac) and the resulting fire fight leaves poe's droid bb-8 on the run and one particular storm trooper (john boyega) having doubts about his place in the first order. bb-8 soon encounters a scavenger by the name of rey (daisy ridley this is her film ) and everyone sets out to fight the dark side and get bb-8 back to the resistance while encountering some old friends along the way and that's all i can say with wandering into spoiler territory. all the cast are on top form with the likes of harrison ford and carrie fisher reprising the roles of han solo and princess leia as if they had never left.

There are many new additions to the cast; newcomer daisy ridley plays rey, a scavenger who is fascinated by what (30 years later in the film universe) seems to be the myths of the jedi and the rebellion. john boyega, who starred in attack the block, plays finn, a storm trooper disgusted by what he sees. the charismatic poe, who in oscar isaacs's own words is "the best pilot in the entire galaxy", joins him.

However, the first order who have risen from the ashes are keen to finish the task started by darth vader and destroy skywalker and the republic for ever.resistance pilot poe (oscar isaac) meets village elder loe (max von syddow) to collect the much sought-after map. poe is captured however, when storm troopers, led by kylo ren (adam driver), storm the village.ren tortures poe, who reveals that his droid, bb8 now has the map, but as no idea of it's whereabouts. stormtrooper (john boyega), a conscientious objector, frees poe, who gives him the name finn.

During this time, luke has fled into hiding following a disastrous attempt to train a new batch of jedi warriors, and a new enemy named the first order have emerged in his absence. resistance pilot poe dameron (oscar isaac) is sent to the planet jakku to retrieve a map revealing luke's location from hooded elder lor san tekka (max von sydow). however, the first order - led by the brutal kylo ren (adam driver) - arrive and capture poe, destroying tekka's village in the process.one of ren's stormtroopers, fn-2187 (john boyega) - who is later given the name of finn - has a change of heart following his first experience of battle with the first order, and helps poe escape in a tie fighter.

On a mission to get information back to the resistance, pilot poe dameron (oscar isaac) is captured by the first order but not before he passes that information on to his droid, bb-8. as the first order kills everyone in the village poe was in, one of the stormtroopers (later named fin and played by john boyega) develops a conscience and wants nothing more than to leave the order. and so he helps poe escape.fin and poe crash with fin the only apparent survivor.

One of the stormtroopers is suddenly reluctant to continue massacring the resistance outpost. he doesn't even have a proper name, until poe finds him and christens him finn (john boyega). poe and finn attempt to escape in an x-wing fighter but a new order pilot shoots them down.

The film focuses on rey, played exceptionally well by daisy ridley, as its central character but the supporting cast is great too. john boyega is excellent as finn, a former stormtrooper turned good samaritan, and oscar isaac has a fantastic turn as fighter pilot poe dameron. like the o3's cast these characters are great on their own and they interact well with each other.

They both show great chemistry together and give us extremely likable characters, with rey bringing the heart of the film and finn the abundant energy. oscar isaacs, who plays poe, is the veteran among the young cast and pulls of a cool and smart-ass x-wing pilot. and finally, the old cast returns to give this film a true star wars feel to it.

Harrison ford, carrie fisher and mark hamill were of course obvious choices for their respective characters each, but it's the new faces that steal the spotlight and bring something new and fresh to the picture. especially daisy ridley and john boyega really shine in their roles as rey "the scrap-collector" and finn "the ex- trooper". oscar isaac is also doing great job as poe dameron.i don't want to talk too much about the content, other than that it's highly entertaining and immensely gripping.
