Idris elba in the unusual (for me) role of a despicable, dangerous character – was really good. he's like colonel kurtz from apocalypse now, but in africa, and probably worse...abraham attah (the leading role) maybe is not quite a charismatic talented professional actor yet, but i'm not in the habit of criticizing too much our younger generation. i truly believe he did everything possible and at times it was amazing!watch this movie, it's worth it.think afterward... if necessary.

Both chris pine and zachary quinto have immersed into the characters flawlessly, now almost forming their own new legend. the standout character however is karl urban as doctor bones, nailing everything about the character to perfection, with one of the performances of the year. nonetheless - with detriment to the dynamics of the crew - bones is underutilised, rarely functioning as the contemplative voice of emotive reason, which made him arguably the best character in all star trek history.and naturally there is the baffling revelation: after years of promising that the sequel won't feature khan noonien singh, benedict cumberbatch ultimately reveals himself to be the famed sikh via mexico (as previously portrayed as ricardo montalbán).

)both louie and baloo, from what i remembered, delayed reading some lines in their lyrics a bit, that the singing felt odd.still on the topic of annoyances, shere khan being a creep to the surviving wolves sounded something straight out of james bond's "spectre". they both spoke of the demerits of a cuckoo bird.the other note's that the movie does have differences to the animated film.apart from the absence of mowgli's new friends, the vultures, mowgli actually returned to the wolves. despite warning, after learning that he killed his wolf foster father, he found a torch from the nearest man village to fight shere khan... and burning the forest, and scaring his animal friends, in the process... leaving shere khan with an "i told you so" finger-pointing.
