Sokka Vs Zuko : What Type Of Chief Is Hakoda?

Later, zuko escapes an assassination attempt plotted by zhao. during the invasion of the northern water tribe, zuko captures aang, but both nearly die in a snowstorm before they are rescued by aang's friends. zuko encounters zhao and attacks him, but aang , in the avatar state, abducts zhao before the fight is concluded.

Even after all the hardship that he suffered at the hands of his sister, azula, zuko was still willing to vouch for her, giving her several chances for them to work together in order to find their mother. he even went as far as to show brotherly affection for her, inspired by sokka's actions toward katara. he was liable to commit brash actions against his sister, however, despite his best efforts to stop fighting her, even going as far as almost throwing her off a cliff.

Iroh is also the namesake of zuko's grandson. azula (阿祖拉; ā zǔ lā) (voiced by grey delisle in books two and three of the animated series, and portrayed by summer bishil in the live-action film) is zuko's younger sister and a gifted firebending master and prodigy, capable of creating blue fire and lightning. after zhao's death, azula is sent by ozai to capture the avatar, zuko, and iroh.

He, aang, and katara were shocked to see azula standing free and apparently escaped, but zuko explained that she was coming with them in exchange for information about ursa. on the journey to hira'a, sokka battled azula during one of her psychotic episodes and also fought against the mysterious wildlife, such as a giant wolf spirit. after the team camped, they headed to town, where they met noren, noriko, and kiyi.

Sokka, who is my favorite character from the show, did get to use boomerang, give a fire nation guy a swift kick, and get frozen, using a similar tone sokka uses in the show, "katara! "(annoyed whining voice). that made me smile, a little.

And becoming a waterbender entails accepting your emotions - even the negative ones, which airbending instinct would have aang avoid or ignore.noah ringer performs admirably as aang, expressing subtle emotion through both expressions and body language. in a lighthearted moment he shines as a normal child who forgets, for the moment, the enormous responsibility he bears, and throughout the entire movie the gentleness that got him the role emphasizes aang's compassionate nature. jackson rathbone, as sokka, has few opportunities to bring the character to life, but carries off his few humorous scenes smoothly.

Sokka thought bending was what got the world in trouble in the first place, so he believed only the skill and strength of ordinary men like himself could ultimately defeat the fire nation, not having bending abilities himself, sokka instead preferred the ways of the warrior and the scientist. taking his responsibility as protector seriously. initially, he did not seem to believe in the bending arts, calling katara's bending "magic water", however, the appearance of avatar aang began to change his mind, even though he did not fully accept the fact that he must learn firebending at first, as he was the least eager for him to start practicing the art under jeong jeong.

His final conversion from the destructive philosophy of sozin/ozai is completed symbolically with him burning down the fire nation flag in ba sing se. while his future is unclear, his past and present and reconciled and juxtaposed constituting a satisfying denouement.the fight between aang and ozai is satisfying as the audience observes it.now however i must delve into my discontentment.azula, a previously strong and interesting character devolved into paranoia, and mired her intimidating charm by - for no reason other than her own idiocy, cutting her own hair as she had banished her maids. zuko's development was one of the mind rather than one of skill, so his sudden ability to match azula both on the airships and in the fight scene feels unearned.

All these put more details and depth into zuko's character, which i like. he's not a generic antagonist, he does not want to capture aang just because's he's villain. no, he's a flawed, hurt character that seeks redemption, wants to reclaim his honor, wants to be loved or accepted by his father once more.

Dev patel is probably the number one worst character, since he looks absolutely nothing like zuko. i either haven't seen or haven't recognized iroh yet. katara looks okay, a little too much like a child, since i'm sure she's supposed to be a teenager in the cartoons.
