Captain america the first avenger stars chris evans as steve rogers in his third superhero outing after fantastic four and push. set in 1940s, it narrates the story of steve rogers who is trying passionately to join the us army but is constantly rejected due to his poor physical condition. at this time, he's spotted by dr. erksine who at that time is working on a super soldier experimentation program and chooses steve for his experiment because of the latter's pure heart.

Chris evans does a great job as c.a., selling the whimpy steve rogers without taking it too far and making a believable transition from that to super-soldier. i was rooting for him all the way. i loved all of the supporting characters, which include the likable scientist stanley tucci and the super-sexy love interest.

Steve rogers (chris evans) is now working for shield alongside natasha romanoff (scarlett johansson) and agent rumlow (frank grillo) as part of the strike team. the strike team was on a mission to re capture a secret shield ship captured by batroc the leaper (george st.pierre). rogers during the mission with widow, discovers that she has another secret mission from nick fury(samuel l jackson) to extract data from the ship's computer.

Also, with very few exceptions, these fan-boy films have been plot and character light and, in all cases, they have been so drenched in cgi and dizzyingly fast-cut fight scenes that i have lost both patience and interest in them well before their flabby running times are up. as such, i went into this film with my "1 star" button at the ready.and - with that background understood - i was pleasantly surprised.chris pratt (too new an actor to safely have "movie 43" on his resume) plays peter quill (aka star-lord) who is abducted from earth by aliens as a young boy and turns up, 26 years later, as a han solo-style freewheeler looking to make a fast buck where he can.the truly tortuous plot revolves around a metal orb that quill obtains for a collector, without realising the true power of what lies within. also wanting to possess the orb is the evil krill warlord ronan, who wants it for trade with the even more evil thanos in exchange for thanos destroying the planet of xandar.

As you would expect, the villainy and treachery are revealed only towards the end, fueling a final face off between father and son.there are a number of minor sub-plots. also introduced here is mantis (lovely french actress pom klementieff), a child-like species with emotion-reading (but not thought-reading) power, initially serving ego and eventually, among other things, became the love interest of drax (dave bautista). the romance between quill and gamora (another beautiful actress, even painted entirely in green, zoe saldana) is still held at a tantalizing stage.

Lintz would later be cast as bruno carrelli in the marvel studios disney+ series ms. marvel (2022). by early june 2015, levine and melfi had become the favorites to direct the film, with daley and goldstein, and jon watts also in consideration, while feige and pascal narrowed the actors considered to holland and rowe, with both screen testing with downey again. holland also tested with chris evans, who portrays steve rogers / captain america in the mcu, and emerged as the favorite.
