Who Was The Doctor On American Idol?

    • christopher eccleston 0.jpg
    • peter davison 0.jpg

    Hint .

I also question the necessity of adding the war doctor to the line of doctors. i wonder if the script was written with the idea eccleston’s 9th doctor would play the john hurt role. i kept wondering why david tennant was in the episode.

    Hint .

the doctor was a fine first doctor for the new era of the show. christopher eccleston was on fine form as the doctor. the number of deaths was surprising. the doctor’s death was a surprise to the audience. the doctor sent rose away with a message saying he didn’t expect to survive.

    Correct Wrong

The number of deaths is quite surprising; particularly in the case of one character although he does 'recover'. having the doctor send rose away along with a message saying he didn't expect to survive worked well; it showed us just how far each of them was prepared to go to try to save the other. christopher eccleston was on fine form as the doctor; he may only have been in the series for one season but he was a fine first doctor for the new era of the show.

Who Is One Of Britains Finest Character Actors?

    • davison 0.jpg
    • christian clavier 0.jpg

    Hint .

The fifth doctor is excellently played by peter davison. the character is one of britains finest character actors. all creatures is a brilliant series with some of the best writers and directors. the series is a great shame to end after the first episode.

    Hint .

”logopolis” was the last appearance of tom baker, the longest serving doctor in the history of “doctor who” it marked the arrival of two new companions aboard the tardis, janet fielding and sarah sutton. the series marked the end of an era.

    Correct Wrong

Again the character is excellently played by the fifth doctor who peter davison, who exudes public school boyish charms here.he dithers and bumbles his way throughout the series, while at the core being an essential and perhaps strong character, he means well but never quite gets it. davison is one of britains finest character actors, again under-rated but looking now as if he will hit the big time after the success of at home with the braithwaites. all creatures great and small also has the benefit of some of the finest writers and directors having worked on the show, such as terence dudley and peter moffet, as well as the multi talanted and consistant head writer johnny byrne.

    What Was Jon Pertwee’s Career?

    • superboy 0.jpg

    Hint .

Jon pertwee’s third doctor and tom baker’s fourth doctor was the incarnation with whom i was most familiar. both played the character as an eccentric english gentleman. but baker stresses the eccentricity of the character. the character’s social status may have been a factor in his promotion.

    Correct Wrong

It is quite possible that on their planet (as in some earthly societies) promotions are made on the basis of social status rather than age, experience or ability. together with jon pertwee's third doctor, tom baker's fourth doctor was the incarnation with whom i was most familiar during my childhood. both played the character as an eccentric english gentleman, but pertwee (perhaps taking his cue from peter cushing's "unofficial" doctor of the two spin-off feature films from the mid-sixties) stresses his gentlemanliness, whereas baker places greater stress on his eccentricity, possibly influenced by patrick troughton's second doctor.

  • Question of

What Was The Last Incarnation Of The Eleventh Doctor?

    • ninth doctor 0.jpg
    • doctor doom 0.jpg

    Hint .

The tenth doctor regenerated after defeating rassilon. he aborted a regeneration after being shot by a dalek. the eleventh doctor later confirmed that this did count as a regeneration. the tenth doctor also regenerated in utopia after defeating gallifrey’s time lock.

    Hint .

the eleventh doctor was actually the doctor’s last incarnation until the time lords gifted him with a new regenerative cycle. the twelfth doctor delayed changing until after the death of the doctor. the doctor has visited every single one of his previous companions before regenerating. the tenth doctor delayed the change until the tenth planet.

    Hint .

once, the tenth doctor transferred some of his life energy to recharge the tardis. he acknowledged the act shortened his lifespan by ten years. later, the twelfth doctor gave up some regeneration energy to revive davros. river song said the act cost her ability to regenerate.

    Hint .

the third doctor described the experience as energy osmosis as the weaker incarnation took energy from the stronger. the tenth doctor used up his first cycle’s eleventh regeneration to heal himself. the process caused him to feel fatigue before he was restored to full health. in the christmas inversion.

    Hint .

in “twice upon a time”, the first doctor’s dying of old age temporarily gives him renewed strength and vitality. in “the end of time” when the tenth doctor regenerates into the eleventh doctor, the release of energy damages the tardis. later, he is able to control his regeneration energy.

    Hint .

in death of the doctor, the eleventh doctor says he can regenerate “507” times. writer russell t. davies intended the line as a joke. due to the tenth doctor’s aborted regeneration, the doctor was the final incarnation in his natural cycle. the doctor regenerated into the twelfth doctor.

    Hint .

the idea that the doctor dies is introduced in the christmas invasion. the regenerative cycle of the tenth doctor lasts for fifteen hours. the doctor can lose body parts and yet re-grow them. the idea is later explained to wilfred mott in the end of time.

    Hint .

like the tenth doctor, the twelfth doctor’s regeneration was highly explosive. the time lord must choose to either regenerate or die. in the first doctor’s case, the regeneration was not explosive at all. he called it a ‘state of grace’  .

    Hint .

the story twice upon a time featured what the twelfth doctor called a “state of grace” in which the regenerating time lord grows weaker and must decide whether to regenerate or die. non-narrative explanations of regeneration have been made in reference books and other books.

    Hint .

some time lords of the first rank have attempted retro-regeneration. the sixth doctor was unable to recall any examples of the procedure. the tenth doctor once reverted into the ninth doctor when an artefact reversed his local time field.    .

    Hint .

there were rare cases where the doctor could delay regeneration from setting in. the twelfth doctor once delayed regeneration to visit all of his past companions. the tardis was destroyed when regeneration was delayed for a long period of time. the doctor’s regenerative cycle can be delayed by up to five years.

    Hint .

the tenth doctor was grazed by a shot from a dalek’s gunstick in 2009 invasion of earth. because of the damage, he had to regenerate. he used his regeneration energy to heal himself but syphoned off the rest to prevent transformation into another form.

    Hint .

the fifth doctor was able to hold off his regeneration from spectrox toxaemia for several hours. the ninth doctor momentarily delayed his regeneration to explain to rose tyler. the tenth doctor delayed the regenerative process long enough to revisit each of his former companions.

    Hint .

the eleventh doctor spent centuries defending the town of christmas. the time lords granted him a new regeneration cycle, prompting a thirteenth regeneration. he destroyed several daleks and their ship with the regeneration energy. his body was restored to a younger form after his death.

    Hint .

and other stories make it explicit that the doctor is the “eleventh” doctor. in the time of the doctor, the doctor agrees with clara that he is “number eleven” and his predecessor was “number ten” the war doctor is not included in the count.

    Correct Wrong

(prose: state of change) some time lords of the first rank attempted retro-regeneration, reverting from their current incarnation back into a prior body, but this procedure was relatively rare, to the extent that the sixth doctor was unable to recall any examples of it. (prose: state of change) the tenth doctor once reverted into the ninth doctor when an artefact reversed his local time field. moments later, he changed back, but wondered if he got back the regeneration he wasted.
