Blade Vs Punisher : In What Film Did The Arch-Villains Seem Like Amateurs?

Not only that, they seem to have culled some of the most interesting characters and they only used dolph lundgren for his muscles and blond hair, as it certainly wasn't for his acting abilities. thank god there was courteney cox and robert duncan mcneill there to show them how to act, but alas, they could not save this film even then.i'd love to see someone tackle this today and give us all what we really want, a he-man film based in eternia with all the best characters and all the fun and cheese of the original tv series especially cringer and orco.laser fights and a skeletor who's bone face moves like flesh? no thanks.

With help from informants & local cops the punisher sets about delivering his type of justice to jigsaw & his men... this american, canadian & german co-production was directed by lexi alexander & is the third punisher film based on the marvel comic book character of the same name although interestingly all three films are stand-alone projects & have little or no connection to the previous/next one apart from the main character, each film features different actor's playing the punisher, each film has it's own mythology & each film was meant to kick-start a franchise after disassociating itself from the last one although all three films were received poorly & surely punisher: war zone will be the last time frank castle makes an appearance in theatres. right, i have seen all three punisher films & i have to say that i think the original one with dolph lundgren is by far the best of the bunch with this punisher: war zone coming in at a fairly distant second as i just think lundgren's punisher is the most fun, the most comic book like & surprisingly in my opinion has the better action scenes from the three films.

New to the cast is lovely but very hard looking brigitte nielsen (the future real life mrs. stallone for two years) as ivan drago's wife and promoter. her hard steely glares and russian accent makes her the perfect voice to drago's physical presence. and as mentioned before cult favorite actor dolph lundgren is captain ivan drago, the monstrous man who is destroying everything in his path.

Harrison ford stars as a replicant bounty hunter who the powers that be hire to terminate four replicants who have come to find their creator, along the way ford discovers his purpose in life as well as some secrets and indeed his ideals start to blur. blade runner does have excellent production values, it does have a complex story and it does have a complicated way it deals with its plot threads. (sometimes too much so) but what i really appreciated mainly about this movie was the hero's conflict with his mission.

Harrison ford plays deckard, skilled blade runner who hates the nature of it. sean young plays rachael who denies being a replicant and comes to find solitude with deckard. rutger hauer steals scenes as the replicant leader who delivers one of the greatest final speeches after a brutal cat and mouse game where the value of life is met.

Since this was not his first comic book movie after doing blade 2 with wesley snipes as the star, he must have some experience with comic book movies in this particular movie his true director identity was not only show but proved. ron perlman after doing alien resurrection (the worst of the four by the way) in which sigourney is the eighth ripely he stars as hellboy a bad ass demon hunter traveling around in a garbage truck with abe sapien (jones) a mermaid or fish of sorts with a high intellect. as soon as a new body guard or so rupert evans (myers) joins the team to help hellboy he at first is disliked but soon learns the ropes and finds the inner peace and sensuality of him along with fighting old dead nazis and watching hellboy beat up some giant monsters.

Watched blade ii featuring featuring wesley snipes(blade) as eric brooks/blade, kris kristofferson(planet of the apes) as abraham whistler , ron pearlman(star trek:nemesis) as dieter reinhardt, leonor varela(texas rangers) as nyssa damaskinos, norman reedus(the boondock saints) as josh/scud, thomas kretschmann(the pianist ) as eli damaskinos , matt schulze(the transporter) as chupa, danny jules-johnson(lock,stock and two smoking barrels ) as asad , also starring donnie yen(the princess blade) as snowman and luke goss(zig zag) as jared nomak. the film amazing really enjoyed blade on his personal journey to find whistler as well,him teaming up with vampires which led to some interesting dynamics and chemistry also nomak was a great villain also amazing twist as well , also costume design from wendy partridge(high noon) and cinematography by gabriel beristain(the comet) , screen play by david s.goyer(dark city) and direction by guillermo del toro(pans labriynth) best of the blade movies 9/
