But worst of all no takeshi kovacs. i wouldn't call anthony mackie a bad actor but he was the complete opposite of joel kinnamans version. while there were quite a few moments in season 2 where mackies kovacs cracked a joke or smiled, i don't even remember one moment from season 1 where kinnaman did anything close to that.

Sebastian stan returns to now play the villain role, and channels his inner bane as the winter soldier, with a terrific performance as a brainwashed terrorist who can evoke fear with just his eyes. throw in rising star anthony mackie as sam wilson/the falcon, who also provides great comedic relief, and star robert redford as alexander pierce, and you have one of the best, most well balanced casts seen so far in the mcu. the avengers was a superhero epic, putting together the big team of heroes on the big screen for the first time made movie history and the spectacle was phenomenal.

I was deployed overseas when i heard that the film was coming out and i was excited, but also apprehensive. i was honestly afraid that it would be botched or not live up to what i felt and saw as a child reading captain america comics.boy, was i wrong...chris evans did a masterful job as steve rogers / captain america, and the introduction of hugo weaving (agent smith from "the matrix" trilogy) was the icing on the cake with his great acting ability as red skull. set during world war ii, a frail steve rogers has attempted to join the army to fight for his country and for what was right.
