Kim Possible : Who Could Have Been A Real Counterpoint To Kim And Drakken?

For a newcomer to kp, shego would appear refreshing and even fun, but honestly i feel it was an opportunity missed to have a real and established counterpoint to kim, even if you were introducing a new villain. this could have added a better threat to keep the pace of the film up and make up for the lack of depth, whilst also using shego vs drakken to challenge the plot itself and asking the justification we all wanted.the other downside was the whole teen angst thing going on...sure kp would have moments but nothing like a full on breakdown. it is reminiscent of 'so the drama' so perhaps i am being harsh, but it feels like the directors have been pushed away from their own ideas to a generic disney idea that you have to fail and then be saved by friendship.

Personality personality-wise, ron is the polar opposite of kim. like shego, he displays a lack of ambition and a propensity for sarcasm toward villains such as drakken. he reacts differently from kim in almost every situation, excels at things that she has difficulties with, and vice-versa, and sees the world in a different way.

I understand why people might have though she was okay, taylor/ shego had a few lines with drakken and a few eye rolls, but absolutely no direct wit/ interaction with kim, and slipped into the role of supportive sidekick too easily. the fight scenes were uncharacteristically slow and cumbersome and uncomfortable to watch, and the delivery of her famed sardonic wit was really poor, the delivery of the lines often felt upsettingly dull or dragged out, or unnnecessarily screamed, she was almost like a little girl trying to act tough. had this been better cast i think we would have seen a more 3 dimenional character, with believability behind the disdain, adding in some accelerant to the plot.

This has to be one of the most unfunny, awkward, stupid live-action adaptations i have ever seen. kim possible has little to no personality in this film and is way too petty when it comes to her jealousy with athena, it makes kim look like an egotistical, narcissistic brat. very few of the jokes in this film hit the mark like in the original, the acting is just awkward for the most part, really the only thing that i think actually kinda worked is the people they got to play drakken and shego, and to be fair, their deliveries were pretty well-done.
