Gaston Vs Penguin : Who Sees Through Gaston’s Narcissistic Showboating?

Something which is done with this series since gordon is as boring as batman. however, when it comes to villains, only penguin really elicits real praise and admiration.but when it comes to everyone else, with the riddler likely not happening anytime soon, despite cory michael smith being on robin lord taylor's level when it comes to playing him; poison ivy just being a poor kid in a bad situation; selina kyle stalking bruce; and fish mooney and carmine falcone as our leading villains, honestly i am a bit disappointed. for, to me, fish is such a basic villain.

Belle may be "the girl wanting more from life" but we learn early on in the film that she is no fool; she sees straight through the narcissistic showboating gaston instantly. she even bravely rescues her father from a monster, opposes gaston at every turn and defends those she cares about from adversity. the beast is a fantastic mix of incredible rage, sadness and childish stubbornness and reluctance.

Though the beast, belle, and the castle objects are great characters, i feel that none of them deserve the title of most memorable performance in this film.that title goes to gaston, one of my all time favorite disney villains. gaston is so complex. one minute, he's just an arrogant, stuck-up bum that is reminisicent of someone we all know and find irritating.

She is a odd one in the village as she just loves to read and everyone in town thinks she is quite the strange one. of course, this does not stop town hunk, gaston, from pining over her and wishing to make her his bride. belle's father gets lost one night and ends up in the beast's clutches and belle finds him and takes his place and becomes the beast's prisoner; however, soon the selfish beast begins to feel for belle and she for him.

He is brilliant. and his maurice is delicious. his singing, still not new york metropolitan opera quality, carries the song.luke evans does just the lightest touch of camp in playing gaston.

I will admit the make up and cg in the film looked pretty rushed and a bit lacking in some of the disney films you normally see. luke evans who plays gaston is a jerk because he thinks everyone should kiss his butt and love him but belle doesn't want him because let's be honest he's a butt. and josh gad who i can't really stand plays the gay dude lefou who is clearly in love with gaston but since it's a disney film they can't show that.
