Zachary levi as shazam, the champion of the wizard with whom he shares his name and the superhero alter-ego of billy batson, who possesses "the wisdom of solomon, the strength of hercules, the stamina of atlas, the power of zeus, the courage of achilles, and the speed of mercury". asher angel as billy batson, a troubled teenaged orphan searching for his biological mother, who is chosen by the ancient wizard shazam as his champion. david kohlsmith plays the four-year-old billy.

Continuing his appearances in other media, connor stars in novels dark mirror, love and death, and monolith. these appearances, though a part of official merchandise, are not considered canon. the show's cast and crew repeatedly praised vincent kartheiser for his professionalism and ability to bring much to his character.

Clan chieftain angus macleod decides to simply banish connor. the exiled man roams the scottish highlands, eventually becoming a blacksmith and marrying heather macdonald in 1539. in 1541, he meets the immortal egyptian juan sánchez-villalobos ramírez, who teaches him his true nature and how to fight.

Police investigator android connor is sent by the cyberlife corporation to assist lieutenant hank anderson, an alcoholic who hates androids. in the course of their investigation into an outbreak of deviants, they either bond or fall apart, potentially resulting in hank committing suicide. during his hunt for markus' group, connor starts to deviate, but can also preserve his programming.

Edward furlong, here playing the young john connor, gives a good performance but comes off as whiny more often than he should. his voice squeaks in a way that sounds like nails on a chalkboard on occasion. i'll cut him some slack though, being that he was probably just going through puberty at the time of filming.i've probably spent more time than i should have on comparing the two films.

As sarah connor, she's become enraged, angry and psychotic, with an impressive muscular physique to boot. edward furlong, in an underrated debut, is sympathetic and convincing as her son.

Linda hamilton is also pretty solid as sarah connor; it is interesting to see how much her character has developed since the original. edward furlong is okay as the young john connor although his character can be a bit irritating at times in a way that didn't seem real. robert patrick did a fine job as the shapeshifting t-1000.
