Imagine that!so with a little background on my part i searched my public library's listings and found the two dvds which contain season 5 of the most recent run, which i believe was 2010. seems her appearances in the series started in 2008, when she was only 20, and her last appearance was 2013.karen gillan is amy pond who, as a young girl had her first encounter with the doctor who, when he left, said he would be back in 5 minutes. being a time traveler it is easy to lose track of it and actually returns, in his tardis that on the outside looks like a dark blue police call box, some 12 years later.

For example, you might think that the doctor would learn not to promise to be back in five minutes, but he never does, and his companions suffer for it (madame pompadour, from another moffatt episode, "the girl in the fireplace," lives out her life waiting). it's obvious that the doctor only thinks he is in control; in reality, his time travel is a barely-manageable skid that he can--sometimes--control enough for a rough estimate.the most significant stroke of genius in this episode, though, is the writing of the doctor's new companion, amy pond (and the casting). amy pond, played by karen gillan, is quite good, but caitlin blackwood, who plays amelia pond--amy's younger self--is brilliant.

"meanwhile, some of the best scenes are of the extensive conversation the doctor has with davros where davros tried to convince the doctor that he is in fact dying (for real this time). great character moments, especially for the doctor and while i enjoy the performance of the actor that plays davros, the character himself is basically still discount emperor palpatine.still, there's a rousing conclusion where the doctor of course outsmarts davros, using his own trap against him and leaving the daleks to fend against their undead sludge hoards (yeah there's what amounts to dalek zombies here). clara convincing the doctor she's not a dalek while trapped in the dalek casing was a truly edge of your seat moment and a nice callback to the season 7 opener too in a way.

Of course rose, captain jack and martha are also fantastic and the fabulous penelope wilton as harriet jones redeems her great character which is very pleasing.this is filled with danger and big epic entertainment but it also has some dark, thoughtful and interesting themes threaded through it and excellent dialogue bringing emotional drama.the story also is technically exceptional with great effects and superb make up for davros. julian bleach is mesmerisingly good as davros emulating the tremendous original michael wisher.10/10

Captain marvel directors anna boden and ryan fleck were present for the filming of her scenes in endgame and gave danvers's characterization in the film their blessing. karen gillan as nebula: an adopted daughter of thanos who was raised with gamora as siblings. after being previously featured as an antagonist or an anti-hero in previous mcu films, nebula undergoes a redemption arc in the film where she makes amends for her past actions, including an encounter with a past version of herself, with gillan adding that she is "staring her former self in the face and it's really clear how far she's come from that angry, bitter and twisted person.

Karen gillan plays amy pond (the doctor's companion) who is also brilliant at her role. and their is also arthur darvill who plays rory williams, who again is very good at his role. there are lots of scary aliens and monsters, my personal favorites are the cyberman, weeping angels and the silence.
